The bird who has inspired Charles Darvina on creation of the theory of evolution, will be restored to life thanks to the samples of the fabric who have remained in stuffed animals. The mocker of Floreany (Nesomimus trifasciatus) has played a key role in definition of a direction of thoughts of the Darwin which has noticed insignificant distinctions between it and the mockers living on other islands of Galapagossky archipelago. Unfortunately, in 50 years after expedition of the great naturalist on a vessel "Bigl" small manual birdies have died out because of dogs and the rats imported by Darwin.
Samples of a fabric of the feathery have remained in the Museum of natural history of London and the Californian Academy of sciences. Within the limits of celebrating of the 200 anniversary from the date of a birth of Darwin researchers from University of Zurich, Princeton university and the Museum of natural history were engaged in studying of the birds who have remained on the next islands the Champion and Gardner-at-Floreany. They have found out that local populations are amazingly similar on Nesomimus trifasciatus as kinds have dispersed just before visit of Darwin. That is more important, the genetic material has appeared is very close to the birds given таксидермисту in 1835. Scientists have decided that the best way реинтродукции is selection of the most suitable individuals from both islands and their resettlement on Floreanu. It can be carried out this year r13; 120 years later after extinction of species.
